John is a retired 32 plus year veteran with a major metropolitan police department where he served as a supervisor and a firearms instructor. John is an approved concealed carry instructor with the Illinois State Police and a registered firearm instructor with State of Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation as well as an approved Utah concealed carry permit instructor. John was employed by the U.S. Secret Service and received firearms training at the U.S. Secret Service Training Center in Beltsville, MD and at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA.
John is certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a firearms and carbine instructor. John is also a NRA certified basic pistol instructor and a range safety officer. John has received training from Glock, Smith & Wesson, Sig Arms, Colt, LMT, and Benelli as an armorer and is certified by the International Firearm Specialist Academy as a Firearm Specialist. John is a life member of the NRA and the Illinois Rifle Association and is also a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors. John regularly participates in a variety of training in order to maintain the most current information available.

Rick is an approved concealed carry instructor with the Illinois State Police and a registered firearm instructor with the State of Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. Rick is a certified NRA basic pistol instructor and a range safety officer. Rick has received training from Glock as an armorer and regularly participates in a variety of training in order to maintain the most current information available.
Neil is a retired 33 year veteran from a major metropolitan police department. Neil is a certified NRA law enforcement handgun and shotgun instructor as well as a certified NRA basic pistol instructor and chief range safety officer. Neil is also an approved Utah concealed carry permit instructor and a registered firearm instructor with State of Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. Neil is a life member of the NRA and the Illinois Rifle Association.
Neil retired as a detective and was a member of the detective division's heavy weapons team where he was qualified with the M4 carbine rifle, Benelli M1 Super 90 shotgun, and the Remington 870 shotgun. Neil was honorably discharged after serving proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1983-1986. Neil was a rifle and pistol expert in the Marine Corps having qualified with the M16 rifle and the M1911, .45 caliber, semi-automatic pistol. Neil was an M60 machine gunner in the Marine Corps Infantry and Marine Security Forces having qualified with the M60 machine gun and the M2 "Ma Deuce" Browning .50 caliber machine gun. Neil also received training while in the Marine Corps with the M870 military/riot shotgun, M14 rifle, M203 40mm grenade launcher, M72 light anti-tank weapon (LAWS) rocket launcher, M249 squad automatic weapon (SAW), M67 fragmentation hand grenade, M18 anti-personnel claymore mine and numerous other incendiary and explosive devices.

Joel Bemis is a 30 plus year veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Joel has been hunting and shooting since he was a young child and continues today. Joel started shooting firearms at the age of 8. Shot in his first rifle competition at age 12 where he took 1st place. At age 13 he started competing in Olympic level three position small bore rifle, taking Rookie of the year honors in 1983/84 and taking his team in 1987 to the City Championship where he took 1st place for high score individual shooter. Joel continued with Olympic level three position small bore rifle for seven years. Joel joined the Chicago Police Department in 1991 and has continued in Law Enforcement shooting competitions at local and state levels.
Joel has been a Chicago Police Department firearms instructor since 1998 and is certified by both the Illinois State Police and the Chicago Police Dept. Joel is also a certified Carbine instructor with the Chicago Police Department and is certified by both the Illinois State Police and the Chicago Police Department. Joel has been certified as a armorer with the M4 carbine through LMT, Colt, Smith &Wesson and DPMS. Certified armorer on the Benelli M1/M2/M3 & M4 shotgun as well as numerous handgun systems through Glock, Sig Sauer and Smith & Wesson. Joel has been a firearms and tactics instructor with the Chicago Police Department Heavy Weapons Team from 2004-2014, and a firearms and tactics instructor with the Chicago Police Department Enhanced Weapons and Training program from 2014 to the present.
Joel is certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a firearms and carbine instructor. Joel is also a NRA certified basic pistol instructor and a certified Illinois Concealed Carry instructor. Joel is also trained in LEMART- Law Enforcement Medical and Rescue Training and is a Crisis Intervention Officer with the Chicago Police Department. Joel is a Certified ATF Firearms Specialist and a ASO (armed security officer) with the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMs).
